Clause 1: General Cancellation Principles
All requests for changes or cancellations must be submitted formally by email and confirmed in writing by Trip Express. The cancellation date is determined by when Trip Express receives your email (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays in Vietnam).
Clause 2: Tour Cancellation Fees
For domestic group tours or private tours operated directly by Trip Express, the cancellation fee (calculated as a percentage of the total booking cost) is as follows:
- 30 days or more before departure: 10% fee (booking processing and administration costs).
- 15 to 29 days before departure: 30% fee.
- 7 to 14 days before departure: 50% fee.
- 3 to 6 days before departure: 80% fee.
- Within 48 hours of departure or No-Show: 100% fee. (Note: Cancellation policies may vary during peak seasons, national holidays, or if the tour package includes non-refundable airline tickets).
Clause 3: Hotel and Attraction Ticket Cancellation Policies
- Hotel Reservations: Governed by the specific hotel cancellation policies shown at the time of booking. Non-refundable promotional or holiday bookings are not eligible for cancellation.
- Attraction Tickets & Show Tickets: Most electronic tickets (E-tickets) are strictly non-refundable and non-exchangeable once issued.
Clause 4: Refund Method
If you are eligible for a refund, Trip Express will process the transaction within 7 to 14 business days. The refund will be credited to the original bank account or card used to make the booking. The customer is responsible for any bank transaction fees.
Clause 5: Force Majeure Cancellation Clause
If a trip is cancelled or delayed due to a Force Majeure event (natural disasters, typhoons, pandemics, national borders closing, flight bans), neither party is liable for damages. Trip Express will work with suppliers to recover payments or secure travel credits for a future departure date, less any non-recoverable supplier fees.
